General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of EMOSSAO.


Payment and prices

The prices of the items from our collection include 19% VAT and do not include the additional costs for transport and packaging. We work with a network of international manufacturers and all prices are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

All pieces are sold "off shop" from the Altstädter Straße 13 in 20095 Hamburg.

In the showroom, payment by EC or credit card is possible. For orders over the amount of €500, only payment in advance by bank transfer is possible.

Delivery times and shipment

The delivery times for the new productions can vary greatly depending on the manufacturer from 4 to 12 weeks. Delivery dates and delivery times are only binding if we have confirmed them as binding in writing. If the purchaser falls into arrears with the acceptance of purchased goods, he is obliged to compensate us for the duration of the delay with the customary storage costs for the goods affected by the delay.

Delivered goods are to be examined immediately after receipt for defects. Any defects must be reported to us in writing no later than 48 hours after receipt. If the freight forwarder carries out the delivery, any damage upon delivery must be notified in writing to the latter. The reservation on delivery must be proven to us. A missed deadline excludes claims.

We ship worldwide. Shipping charges are calculated based on size, weight and ship-to location. In the event of shipment outside the EU, the purchaser will have to pay customs duties or VAT or any other taxes due to the import of products in the country of delivery. The purchaser is solely responsible for any formalities related thereto. The purchaser is also solely responsible for checking whether the products ordered can be imported under domestic law in the country of delivery.

Exchanges and returns

During 14 days following the delivery of your order, you may request the refund of items, which you must return to us in unused condition accompanied by the original invoice. Returns will only be accepted if labels and original packaging are fully intact and in a re-sellable condition.

1. Clarification about quality and product features

We guarantee that the quality of the goods at least matches the sales samples. However, a higher scale cannot be expected. Changes, which serve the further development of the products, remain within the reasonable limits. Please note the following important information:

1.1 Leather

The more natural and high quality a leather is, the clearer natural features such as insect bites, scars or fattening fins remain visible. Leather must be protected from direct sunlight and heat sources as it can fade and dry out. It will expand in use by body heat, pressure and moisture. These natural features cannot be objected. To preserve the value and maintain your warranty, care and clean leather furniture only in accordance with the care instructions. In addition to maintenance, leather furniture should be treated once or twice a year with the recommended leather care products.

1.2 Wood

Wood is a natural product. Colour, grain and structure will differ from the exhibited sample. Even within a delivery, there may be deviations. With solid wood furniture, slight deformations or small cracks may occur depending on the room climate. These characteristics are typical of the product and therefore cannot be objected.

1.3 Carbon steel

Carbon steel is the original raw material used for some of the furniture. The carbon steel is phosphatized. The process of phosphatisation is a surface treatment done in order to stop the first main oxidation. Nevertheless, this structure will oxidize slowly with time because oxidation (iron oxide) is a natural phenomenon. These characteristics are typical of the product and therefore cannot be objected.

1.4 Colour deviations

Small differences in colour between the exhibit or samples and the ordered furniture are typical and inevitable. A colour match with our samples or subsequent deliveries is therefore not guaranteed.

1.5 Irregularities in surfaces

Small irregularities in surfaces can occur due to production. If these are no longer visible to the naked eye under normal lighting conditions with a distance of 70 to 100cm, they are not a defect.

1.6 Care

For lasting enjoyment of high-quality products and to avoid premature wear, proper care and careful use is indispensable. Please therefore pay attention to the care instructions and guarantee conditions of the respective products.
